Gin Fizz DC is een dochter van Basje. Basje is de eerste en tot nog toe enige gekeurde zoon van de momenteel in Frankrijk vertoevende Utrillo van de Heffinck, op zijn beurt een zoon van de olympische Clinton. In de moederlijn voert Basje het bloed van de super-volbloedhengst Laudanum xx en de legendarische Almé via hun zonen Apache du Fôrest en de naar de Verenigde Staten geëxporteerde Admiraal Z. Basje was zowel als vierarige en als vijfjarige ongetwijfeld één van de meest veelbelovende én opgemerkte hengsten in de klassieke cyclus.
Stella is een dochter van 'springwunder' Stakkato, de Spartan-zoon die als 5-jarige onder het zadel van Eva Maria Bitter het Bundeschampionat te Wahrendorf op zijn naam schreef. Ondertussen voert hij de Zuchtindex van springpaarden in Duitsland aan. Haar moeder, Can Can, is een Calypso II - dochter. Calypso II, een Holsteiner, was zeer succesvol in de sport op internationaal niveau, maar ook in de fokkerij: o.m. Contender en Coriolan gaan rechtstreeks op hem terug. haar moederlijn gaat verder op de in Hannover goedgekeurde volbloed Good Match xx. Deze hengst stond slechts 2 jaar ter beschikking op het Hannoveraanse dekstation Celle (1972-1974), maar liet in die twee jaren 2 gekeurde zonen na: Gutenberg en Goodwill. De combinatie Stakkato - Calypso II gaf ondermeer al de gekeurde hengst Stalypso (Gestüt Sprehe). De combinatie Calypso II - Good Match vinden we ook terug in de moederlijn van Gem Of India : diens moeder, Cleopatra - een Calypso II dochter, gaat in de moederlijn terug op deze Goodwill. Stella komt uit de Hannoveraanse Dünenheim - stam (Stamm 287 - H. Schridde) waaruit een aantal hengsten en internationaal presterende sportpaarden zijn voortgekomen.

Basje's Damline consists of the blood of the super-thoroughbred stallion Laudanum xx and the legendary Almé, through their sons Apache du Fôrest and the into the United States exported Admiraal Z. As a four and a five year old, Basje was undoubtedly one of the most noticed stallions to come in action during the Belgian Classic Cycle for Young Horses.
